Individual Therapy for Adults

In-Person Therapy

I offer in-person sessions in from my office in the historic Monadnock Building. There’s something to be said for literally stepping away from your routine and/or workspace to focus on your mental health!

My Therapy Style

Telehealth

I also offer virtual sessions via a HIPAA-compliant telehealth platform to clients located in the state of Illinois. Clients can choose to meet via telehealth for all sessions or do a combination of in-person and telehealth as needed.

I primarily use a cognitive-behavioral (CBT) modality that is strengths-based and trauma-informed, and incorporates evidence-based practices, empathy, and genuine connection. I have received additional training in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), and Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT), and incorporate these theories into my practice as appropriate.

I am a feminist and a progressive, and strive to approach my work and my life incorporating anti-racist values. I am aware that the fields of psychotherapy and social work have historically been used as oppressive tools and my goal is to practice from a liberation-based perspective, aware of my own privilege both within and outside of the therapy session.
